Bird Strike on Boeing 757-200:
9N-ACB of Nepal Airlines Corporation at TIA


During the investigation, the eveidence of Bird Hit was observed on RH Engine with the Bird Debris and Blood strain around LP Compressor OGV, Common Exhaust Nozzle and the cold stream passage of C-Duct.


Transient Pressure Unit (TPC) BITE Test was carried out, NIL Surge Record was found. Bird Debris and Stains were cleaned IAW AMM 12-25-04. Bird Strike Inspection was carried out as per AMM 05-51-18, 71-11-01 and FIM 71-05-00 and found SATISFACTORY. Borescopic Inspection on IP Compressor Blades was carried out and found satisfactory. TAP (Transient Acoustic Pressure) Test was carried out on all LP Compressor Fan Blades of the RH Engine was carried out and found SATISFACTORY. Finally RH Engine Ground Run Check was carried out and found SATISFACTORY.
