Have your ever initiated any moves regarding, why airport taxes are paid. When I travelled I couldn't even find water to drink, nobody to guide where to go, no any light backup when the electricity is gone and many more things.
Also have you ever inititated any moves to reconcile number of tourist tax collected by tourism board with immigration data. Please find way to reconcile it. Something is going wrong over there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am Pravesh Chand and i am from the far west part of nepal. And what i found there is no government policies implimented for the development of tourism.................l.
I mean to say abt the infrastructures ....Well frankly to say ,people see hardly a foreign tourist in our part of country ...even thought by providin the facilities government can encourage the local tourist . So please think of it ...and try to make the farwest the tourist destination as well........Hoping for the positive reponse from this newly formed government ....And hope i can see any changes in my place when i return back . Hopin for positive respon please donot disappiont me
Sherpa jee There has been long time conflict in NMA and ministry has formed taskforce quite before. We have received letter of two separate executive committees claiming each as authentic. Therefore the taskforce so formed will handover the operation once the authenticity of executive committee is ensured. I am not nominated by CPN MAOIST as you have mentioned. Secretary is not nominated but recruited through rigorous examinations of public service commission (PSC) which is the most venerable organization in Nepal. I request you to see past track records before leveling anyone in that way.
to NTB Ex-Staff:
I am inquiring on the NTB recruitment matter. Please keep patience About illegal operation in tourism sector Kindly pass on the precise information to tourism industry division and I will definitely take action to wrong dowers. There is always conflict between big operators who can afford to maintain relations with foreigners and small operators who are the sufferer of globalization. We are reviewing policies to protect the interest of small operators keeping in tune with WTO requirements for foreign investment.
Balaram jee:
Wonderful idea!! I have an opportunity to see in China how the leaders with engineering background have developed their nation so rapidly. I wish the secretary in this ministry too should be from engineering background. I will one to readily welcome such move too. However, I am trying to put my honest efforts to improve overall situation of tourism and aviation industry in Nepal.
Dear Sir, I found no answer to my dissatisfaction. The things I've mentioned earlier is true, and I've evidence...(I'll write 2 you in your mail if you need)
Dear Secretary
Why don't you hand over Nepal Mountaineering Association to newly elected Executive Board ? Who forced you to form a Task Force for NMA. ? Two members of the Task Force for NMA are regional level members of CPN MAOIST and you are nominated to Tourism Secretary by Maoist too. In this context please tell me, aren't you forcing all tourism organizations to recruit Maoist like (YCL) ?
Leela Sir,
Recently an Engineer Ms Hishila Yami has taken charge of MOTCA. Since the major stake of this ministry consists of civil aviation sector, what is your view on to appoint MOTCA Secretary, CAA DG and NAC GM from Engineering back-ground ?
With regards,
Balram
Dear Sir,
It is great to see your blogsite with many comments. Many comments are constructive and informative for you but many comments are for conveying their personal problem and vengence. it's better to filter the comments before it appears in the blogsite. I saw a guy even using flithy language while expressing his very personal grivances. Hope you will make this blogsite dignified and trustworthy rather than a portal of crooks and croonies.
Nepal jee
I have gone through that blog. Although photographs posted there are genuine, in my mind that should not be presented that way publicly. There are many more good things in Nepal to be offered to the tourists that western would not get anywhere outside Nepal. Remote villagers worship tourists like god with flower and vermilion powder, they offer the best items they possess to the guest depriving themselves and their kids, tourists get priority everywhere in any services. The medieval culture, crafts, beautiful scenario, exciting landscape, unmatching flora and fauna and many more things tourists receive in Nepal.
I agree that we have to improve safety standards, management capabilities, enhance quality of services but that does not mean that we are so worse that no tourist should come to visit Nepal. I have copied that blog photos and forwarded to the civil aviation authority for their part to improve service standard, the other part of city life massive public campaign is required,
I'm ex staff of NTB my contract was not renewed despite my hard work. While a senior contarct staff's contract was renewed for a yr who is yet to clear his advance of some hundred thousand n whose mobile bill of 50 thousands...Isn't it sad to note dat? Being president u r accountable so i need justice
please strictly monitar in tourism sector to find out reality. are the right persons involving in tourism or unqualified opportunist involving? foreigners are operating tours without using local tour operators, if so we have to close nepali travel companies. unqualified nepali people are operating tours, these people will destroy the tourism industry. please use tourist police and other people to monitor service providers are authorised person or not.
make daily report of service providers find out they are legal person or illegal persons.
i hope you will start as soon as possible.

I guess you are refering koshi river where boats are in operation near Chatara, some 20 km north of koshi bridge. A temporary road is there to meeting highway ahead. Further India has agreed to allow Nepalese busses to cross koshi via India. If you have more problem do not hasitate to write
I regret to mention the sorry state of Nepal airlines, plans are first to ensure that two boings are flying properly and add new one in a year time, strengthen management capabilities that is already started

Dear Sir,
At first regards to you. I am writing this in connection with a recent problem involved with visiting Nepal, the most happening destination of Tourism Industry. I represent a Tourism House of India and with our counterpart in kakarvitta we organise Tours to Nepal. It is one of our favourite destinations for years. We expose Nepal to Bangladeh & North Bengal all over the year and the coming month is the best month for Tourism activities as Puja Holidays and ID Holidays are in the region. We have taken bookings of many groups to visit your sweet country during Oct'08 and so on, but we are very sorry that we are in a deep water now. There is a damaged bridge on the way and it is not possible to start the plying of vehicles right now.We request you earnestly to make some arrangements of Motor Boats for the Tourists to cross the river in this prime season. I think you will understand our feelings and we shall get a positive support from you. We love Nepal , We travel in Nepal and we and your many people are really associated with Tourism. So , kindly support us and make a way to maintain our good relation with our guests who wants to travel to Nepal.
Hope to get apositive response from you.
Thanking you.

I read in the paper our tourism is growing bigger day by day INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS ARE BOOKED THROUGH NOVEMBER, but we are unfortunate to capitalize in one area that is our Airlines.
Nepal Airlines started with Thai and other big Regional carriers now look at them and us. can you elaborate current state of Nepal Airlines and future plans?
thanks!
I can't believe this. This is excellent. Never thought we will find such a proactive secreatary like you so sooner. Extraordinary. Amazingly this is a hope that people like you are still in bureucracy. I suggest you do a small wrong. Get rid of RNAC.

Kathmandu Airport, Pilot Briefing
Dear Sir
ICAO website refers URL: www.caanepal.org.np of NEPAL, which is under construction. I have few complain/suggestion to the Management of Kathmandu Airport which I have submitted them through your blog.
If any pilot come to OA Building of Kathmandu Airport;
1. It is very difficult to find out ATS Reporting Office. No location map/signage exists.
2. After getting in ATSRO: There is worse physical condition.
Please improve immediately.
2. MET Briefing does not exist or location map/signage does not exist.
3. AIS Briefing/ Pilot Briefing facility does not exit.
Please co-locate MET/AIS/Pilot briefing in one place or try to make it online.
Airport Administration is located at the third floor of International Terminal Building having entrance from either VVIP entrance or cave shaped subway from Airline check in area. Administration is out of reach from Service seeking public. Please relocate Administrative block.
Thanks and Regards.

it was good suggestion given by Mr. Maheshwor Bhakta to the secretary of MOTCA. I think it is high time to depute Mr. Mukul at Prime Minister's office to let him serve for new madhesi Nepal. Alternately, Hon'ble member of NPC as there are many posts recently vaccated by the former members to build new Nepal. Are you happy respected secretary with me new idea at the dawn of new Nepal?
Dear Secretary,
your blog is again used massively on CAAN issues. I am serving in CAAN for last 11 years. And surprisingly, I myself is not aware of these issues. In our organization a very talented fellow, name is mukul mishra, is doing very worthy works by exposing many irregularities prevailing inside CAAN. He is the most deserving expert who has the overall knowledge of civil aviation field. So, my sincere advise to you- please keep him as your advisor-in-chief.
Paudyal Sir Namaste this is santosh bharati from ministry of Education and sport keshar mahal.I hope u will remember me cuase we did work at ESAT office in 2004 also do u know Dr. Min Bahadur Bista I had work with him from 2001 to 2006. I am really happy to post this message.
Namaste, Let me first write a bit about myself. My name is Anish Sapkota, who is originally from Biratnagar, Nepal, recently residing in Minneapolis city of United States which is the state of Minnesota. I have been here for almost 11 years now. Also, I would say IтАЩm a singer on my other profession. IтАЩm a lead singer of a popular Nepali band тАЬOKELYтАЭ. I perform here in USA almost every year for events and occasions. This year I will be touring with my band here to few cities. Recently we performed in Colorado State. We performed in the cities of Denver and Estes Park and few more to go.
Me and few other members are planning to promote Nepali Culture, Food and Music here in USA. We are planning to organize a 3 day event тАЬKATHMANDU FOOD n MUSIC FESTIVALтАЭ here in USA. Since, Colorado is a place where they know much about Nepal, being a mountain region. We have decided to select City of Boulder (State of Colorado) as our first starting venue for this event. We would like to see if we can be helped to organize this event and promote our country and culture here in USA, and we are very positive that the department of Culture and Tourism will be excited to help and promote this event financially and with full support. We can certainly submit out final plans and event detail once we know that the department and the ministry will be interested in helping us. We have planned to talk to our Ambassador here in Washington DC to seek any help we need here in USA also.
Please kindly let us know if we can expect any assistance from the department of Culture and Tourism. We would highly appreciate you time on this. Thank you.

Dear Paudyal Jee
Thank you for the information. We have received few Cds, posters and post card from Embassy of Nepal, Denmark. I, on behalf of Nepali Society at ├Еs, Norway (NEPSA) (www.nepsa.org.np) would like to thanks you and Embassy for the valuable materials.
best wishes
i've one request if you can look furhter.
i've send i don't know how many e-mail to department of tourism and your ministry but ................no reply at all. if the e-mail is not active or nobody can reply the e-mail, i think ministry should eliminate the e-mail from the site.
Corruption in the name of preparation of documents
Dear Sir,
This is to inform you about the overt corruption going on in CAAN in the name of preparation of various documents, where the CAAN Staff are receiving additional remuneration by way of membership of various committees.
The latest being the committees involved in the preparation of the Personnel and Licensing Requirements (PELR) for the fulfillment of obligation for the ICAO Annex 1 on Personnel Licensing. A committee had been formed to prepare a draft of the PELR in 2006 and is believed to have received a handsome remuneration for the draft and the draft never was processed for approval. Then another committee has been constituted for preparation of another requirement.
Sir, what is this? Please take action against the PELR drafting committee that never did the job and got handsome remuneration and passed on the commission to the CAAN DG also.
Thanking you in anticipation,

the postings in the name of lppaudyal@yahoo.com are definately mine in recent days. Earlier the blog was hacked and i had to introduce some screening measures some weeks back.
Dear Sir, pleased to know that you have formed a task force to look into the matter of Trainee pilots.
Your Blog is a nice initiative which I feel should be for positive action and comments from the public and our foreign friends who wish good of Nepal. Most of the comments are from staff of various department and sections of MOCTCA on internal and official matters which I feel should be resolved in your departmental meetings and not make it a public show.
Thank you,
Dorji
